Nigeria Football Federation releases agenda for 79th Annual General Assembly

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has issued out agenda for its 79th Annual General Assembly (A.G.A) slated to be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital.
In a press release by the NFF Communications Department, the agenda of the Assembly was spelled out on Friday.
The AGA will take place ahead of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers with Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo on the same date.
The Assembly will commence with NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau welcoming delegates comprising of members of Football Associations (FAs) from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to the meeting.
The business session, which begins after the opening ceremony, will kick off fully with an address by the NFF President, and such regular matters such as suspension or expulsion of members (if applicable), activity report of the General Secretary, presentation of the consolidated and revised balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement, approval of the financial statements and the budget, and admission for membership (if applicable) are on the agenda.
Some appointed Chairmen of the league especially that of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Nkechi Obi is expected to become one of the new members of the NFF board as it was during her predecessor, Ms Aisha Falode.
On the agenda as well are votes on proposals for amendments to the Statutes, the regulations governing the application of the Statutes and the Standing Orders of the General Assembly (if applicable), and discussion of proposals submitted by the Members and the Executive Committee.
The Assembly is expected to be graced by His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar.
After the AGA, members and attendees will proceed to the Godswill Akpabio Stadium where the Super Eagles will host Sao Tome and Principe in the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers final Group B game.
