Nigeria National League Super 4 get October 22 date in Yenagoa

Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital has been announced as venue for the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League, NNL Super 4 Championship.
This was according to letter sent to the four participating clubs by the league’s Chief Operating Officer, COO, Emmanuel Adesanya on Thursday.
The four teams, Doma United, Bayelsa United, Elkanemi Warriors and Insurance FC will battle for the league diadem after confirming their status in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL by ending the last NNL season as winners of their respective groups.
The letter which was read in parts stated that “As part of the final stage of the 2021/2022 League season, Super 4 competition is usually organized amongst the four clubs that will gain promotion to the NPFL in line with the NNL rule book to determine the overall champions of the League.”
Niger Tornadoes won the 2020/2021 NNL Super 8 in Enugu after beating Remo Stars in the final staged in Enugu, where claimed a 1-0 victory.
“The purpose of this letter is to inform you and as well invite you to participate in the NNL 2021/2022 Super4 tournament in line with article 3.3 of the NNL. rule book.
The tournament is scheduled to commence on 16 October 2022 and conclude on 22″ October 2022 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa, Bayelsa State. Please note that participation is compulsory for all qualified teams.
“This is to enable the qualified clubs to use the Super 4 tournament to prepare their team for the NPFL challenges. Please note that all transfers of players must be in accordance with the provisions of articles 11.7-11.12 of the NNL rule book.
“You are therefore requested to begin preparations for the Super 4 tournament immediately. All qualified clubs are to commence registration of 5 new players on receipt of this letter, please.”
The top 4 teams from the respective groups in the last NNL season have automatically gained promotion to the NPFL.
