Nigeria U-17 W 3-1 Fortress Ladies: Flamingos prepare for Algeria with victory over Championship side

Nigeria U-17 women’s national team defeated Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship side, Fortress Ladies 3-1 in a friendly match on Tuesday.

As early as the second minute of action, Harmony Chidi opened scoring for the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalists at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

The lead lasted for nine minutes before Gift Nduka restored parity.

Shakirat Moshood restored Bankole Olowookere’s side lead in the 28th minute.

In the 73rd minute, Olamide Olanrewaju sealed the win with Flamingos’ third goal.

Flamingos is using the game to prepare for their World Cup Qualifiers against Algeria.

They will meet Fortress Ladies again in the second leg of the friendly.
