Nigerian Striker Sadiq Umar Nears Loan Move to Dutch Outfit NAC Breda from AS Roma

Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar is on the brink of finalizing a loan agreement with Dutch club NAC Breda, transitioning from his current position at Italian club AS Roma, according to reports from Completesportsnigeria (CSN). The 20-year-old, a part of Nigeria’s U-23 team that secured bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, spent the initial part of the season with Italian side Torino.

Following the termination of his loan arrangement with Torino, Sadiq is now poised to join NAC Breda for the latter half of the season. Despite featuring in only three Serie A games for Torino, the forward remains optimistic about a fresh start in the Eredivisie.

As reported by Dutch online news outlet drimble.nl, an agreement has been reached between NAC Breda and Torino for Sadiq’s transfer. The 20-year-old is expected to commence training with his new teammates once the requisite paperwork is completed.

NAC Breda, currently positioned in 16th place in the 18-team Eredivisie, is hopeful that the addition of Sadiq to their roster will contribute to a resurgence in the latter part of the season. With 16 points from 19 games, the club aims to enhance its position in the league standings, and the impending arrival of Sadiq Umar is anticipated to fortify their offensive capabilities.
