Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie etched her name in history as she played a crucial role in Paris FC’s dramatic 2024-25 Coupe de France Féminine victory, guiding her side to a 5-3 penalty shootout win over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after a goalless draw in regulation time at the Stade de l’Epopee, Calais.

Nnadozie, who has been in stellar form throughout the competition, became the hero in the shootout, making two vital saves. With both teams converting their first three penalties, Nnadozie’s crucial stop on PSG’s fourth attempt gave Paris FC the edge. PSG missed another penalty on their fifth try, allowing Paris FC to clinch the title after calmly converting all five of their penalties.

The grand finale between two Paris-based sides ended 0-0 in regulation time.

The Nigerian save hands etched her name in history by winning the title for her team.

The penalty saves secured a 5-4 win on penalties for Paris FC as Nnadozie featured throughout the match.

Her compatriot, Jennifer Echegini replaced Grace Geyoro in the additional minutes of the second half for PSG.

The result sealed Paris FC’s maiden Coupe de France title with Nnadozie’s exceptional performance.

The Super Falcons goalkeeper joined Paris FC from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Rivers Angels after winning the domestic league title.

She has been an integral part of the team with diverse penalty saves and match-winning stops, helping them qualify for consecutive UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL).
