Nigeria’s Maryann Ezenagu bags Brace for Zhejiang in China

Nigeria’s Maryann Ezenagu opened her goal account for Chinese Women’s Super League side Zhejiang with a brace in their 2-0 victory over Shaanxi Changan on Sunday.

The former Zenit Saint Petersburg forward broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 20th minute before sealing the win with her second strike, 11 minutes from time.

Ezenagu, who previously starred for Rivers Angels, has enjoyed success at club level, winning the NWFL Premiership title in Nigeria and the Russian Women’s Cup during her stint with Zenit.

Also a bronze medalist with Bayelsa Queens at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco as an addition to her pedigree.

She represented Nigeria at U-17 level added to success at club level.

After 20 games, Zhejiang sit ninth on the table with 22 points. They will travel to face Dazhong in their next league fixture on September 20, 2025.
