The unveiling ceremony, which took place at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, was conducted on behalf of the Governor by the Technical Advisor on Sports Development, Dr. (Mrs.) Olusola Osetoba.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Osetoba reiterated the state government’s commitment to the development of sports and emphasized the ongoing support for Ekiti United, urging the players to repay the trust placed in them by the government through hard work and dedication on the field.

“I encourage the players to repay the confidence the government has shown by performing well this season,” she said.

The ceremony was attended by key government officials, football stakeholders, members of the Ekiti United Supporters Club, and representatives from the Professional Footballers Association.

Special Assistants on Sports, Hon. Tunde Adesanya and Hon. Kola Owoseni, were also present at the event.

Head Coach Idris Bolarinwa described the unveiling as a symbol of the club’s renewed commitment and a fresh start for the team. He assured fans that the players were determined to deliver a successful season.

“We are excited about the new jersey. It represents a new chapter for the club, and we promise to make our fans proud through hard work and positive results,” Bolarinwa stated.

Team Captain Seyi Akinyemi also expressed gratitude to the state government for its continued support. He assured that the players would give their all in every match.

“The new kit looks great. We will wear it with pride and fight for victory in every game on behalf of the Governor and the good people of Ekiti State,” Akinyemi said.

The ceremony, which was met with enthusiasm from supporters and officials alike, has set an optimistic tone for the season ahead. Ekiti United will kick off their NNL campaign with a fixture against Stormers FC.
