Chairman of the Nigerian National League (NNL) Board, Mr. George Aluo, has expressed profound appreciation to the Delta State Government for agreeing to host the much-anticipated Super 8 Playoffs.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba from July 5th to 12th, 2025.

Speaking after a meeting with the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Solomon Oborevwori, Aluo praised the commitment of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for once again demonstrating his unwavering support for Nigerian football, especially the second-tier league.

“I am happy to confirm and announce that the Super 8 Playoffs will take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, from July 5th to 12th. We are so grateful to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for accepting to host this crucial event. His support underscores his genuine passion for sports development and the Nigerian National League,” Aluo stated.

The Super 8 marks the climax of the 2024/2025 NNL season, bringing together the top eight teams from the regular season to determine the overall champion and the four clubs that will gain promotion to the Nigeria Premier League.

“We look forward to a very exciting event as the best eight teams from the regular season converge in Delta State. If the regular season’s standard was impressive, what lies ahead in the Super 8 promises to be truly spectacular,” Aluo added.

The qualified teams for the Super 8 Playoffs are: Osun United, Crown FC, Barau FC, Kunkhalifa FC, Warri Wolves, Doma United, Yobe Desert Stars, and Wikki Tourists.
