By Wale Mustapha

Akwa United head coach Paul Offor has expressed satisfaction with his players’ competitive spirit ahead of their Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday Two clash against Abakaliki FC.

The Promise Keepers will travel to Uyo to face the Rice Boys on Sunday, seeking to build on their opening weekend victory over Inter Lagos in their quest to return to the Nigerian top flight.

Offor praised his squad’s focus and motivation, emphasizing a game-by-game approach.

“Our win last weekend is now behind us, and we’ve shifted our focus completely to Sunday’s match. The players are responding well,” Offor told the club’s media team.

He added: “The atmosphere in camp is positive, the boys are in good shape, and everyone is eager to make the matchday squad. I’m impressed with the healthy competition within the group.”
