NNL: Sokoto United appoints Technical Adviser ahead of next season

Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Sokoto United Football Club announced the appointment of Coach Peter Ajeni as Technical Adviser on a two-year contract, effective immediately.

The Sokoto based club made this announcement ahead of the 2024/2025 season as they prepare to jostle for top flight league promotion.

Coach Ajeni succeeds Mansur Abdullahi, who was relieved of his duties as Technical Adviser last season.

Following a successful stint as Acting Head Coach, Coach Ajeni has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise, warranting his promotion to this key position.

His appointment is a testament to the club’s commitment to stability, continuity, and success.

Sokoto United finished top of their group at the end of the 2023/2024 regular season which qualified the the team for the Super 8.

At the Super 8, Sokoto United finished bottom of the Northern Conference with no points after losses to Sporting Supreme (1-0), Nasarawa United (2-1), and El-Kanemi Warriors (4-1).
