Kwara United head coach Mohammed Azeez Audu is excited with his team’s progress this season following a 0-0 draw with Shooting Stars in a Nigeria Premier Football League encounter on Thursday.
The Harmony Boys bounced back from a 0-0 draw at home to Gombe United and went on to improve their display, snatching a valuable point against the Oluyole Warriors at the Lekan Salami Stadium
And the visiting manager is pleased with his side’s character, while assuring that they will continue to work hard to correct their lapses in their subsequent matches during the ongoing campaign.
“We had enough chance to win the game today more than the home team even though they are a strong and a very tactical team but we were more closer to winning but didn’t convert our chances, we will keep working till we get it right,” Azeez told media.
“The team did well, everyone did very well, they played according to our game plan just little lapses here and there which will be corrected in the next game.
“Kwara United is a work in progress, and we will keep improving from one game to the other. We lost some vital chances in our two games so far, and we will keep on working to correct the lapses.”
After two games, Kwara United are yet to score or concede a goal in this campaign and will hope to turn a new leaf when they next square up against Bendel Insurance at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.
