Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Barau FC have confirmed the appointment of former Nigerian international, Dominic Iorfa, as their new General Manager.
The club announced the decision on Wednesday through an official statement shared on its social media platforms, describing Iorfa’s arrival as a major step in strengthening its administrative structure.
Iorfa, who enjoyed a notable playing career with the Super Eagles, previously held the same position at Lobi Stars, where he served for three seasons before stepping down at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
In its statement, Barau FC expressed confidence that the veteran football administrator’s deep knowledge of the NPFL will be invaluable as the Kano-based outfit navigates its debut season in Nigeria’s top flight.
Alongside Iorfa’s appointment, the club also named Kabiru Baita as Vice President, further reshaping its leadership team.
Barau FC have endured a difficult start to life in the NPFL and remain winless after four matches, but the management believes the experience and guidance of Iorfa will help steer the team toward stability and growth.
