The Edo State government is rallying support for Insurance FC as they prepare for a crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match against Shooting Stars.
The Benin Arsenals will host the Ibadan team in a rescheduled Matchday Three encounter at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
Yussuf Alli, the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, emphasized the importance of fan support to boost the team’s performance, encouraging local residents to treat Bendel Insurance FC as their own and to attend the match, regardless of previous results.
“All of us should support Insurance FC. Bendel Insurance is our own team. We need the fans in the stadium to help motivate the players to achieve success,” Alli stated.
He noted that efforts have been made to attract supporters, including providing free shuttles and distributing jerseys and souvenirs.
“This match is crucial, and our boys need to secure maximum points. We urge all Benin residents to come to Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium at 4 PM today to cheer Bendel Insurance to victory,” he added.
