NPFL: Fidelis Ilechukwu sure of victory as Rangers host Gombe United in Enugu

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers is expecting anything short of victory when his side welcome Gombe United for the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Matchday 18 clash on Sunday.
The Flying Antelopes who are still having a bit part season will hope to return to winning ways following their last weekend’s defeat to Insurance in Benin.
Ilechukwu who still not satisfy with the team’s current standing in the league said the visit of the Desert Scorpions will be used to stabilize his side and will then work to build on it.
“No doubt, we missed it in our last match in Benin but that is behind us now and we are looking and working towards getting a positive result against Gombe United,” Ilechukwu told media.
“Yes, I understand that we are not where we rightly belong but with the determination that I see in the faces of my players, we are on the line towards making our supporters smile again.
“Gombe United is not a small side and we respect them as they have a great tactician in Mohammed Babaganaru but we have our eyes on the maximum points at stake.”
A win for Rangers will take them to 25 points from 17 games with a match at hand as it will further compound Gombe’s woes.
