NPFL: Gbenga Ogunbote blames loss on 3SC carelessness for Remo Stars humiliation

Shooting Stars gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote has pinned the club’s loss to Remo Stars on his players carelessness at critical moments.

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Southwest derby lived up to the hype preceding the game as the Sky Blue Stars crushed the Oluyole Warriors 3-0 in Ikenne.

Ogunbote was displeased with the way his lads handled the game which couldn’t earn them a point in the game.

He however hinted that the club will prepare for the game ahead and work on their mistakes untill perfection is achieved.

“I think we had some careless moments, the boys didn’t play badly, but we were unable to defend well enough to at least secure a point,” Ogunbote told the media.

“We will go back and prepare for the game. As you can see, the challenge we had today, was the final touch, we’ve been working on it and we will continue to work on it until perfection is achieved.”

With ten points from six matches, Shooting Stars will play host to Niger Tornadoes at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on November 5.
