NPFL: Katsina United edge Bendel Insurance

Matchday 14 of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) got underway as Katsina  earned a 1-0 win against Bendel Insurance.

Katsina United had won one of their last five games in the league with three draws and a loss to Sporting Lagos ahead of Saturday’s clash.

Insurance on the other hand has won two of their previous five games with two losses and a draw.

The only goal of the match came in the 74th minute as Chidera Ezeh converted a penalty to win the match.

The win lifted Katsina United to the ninth position with 17 points.

The Northern side will face Gombe United (away) and Akwa United (home) in their next two league games.

Insurance occupy the fifth position with 20 points after 14 games.

Their next two league games is against Abia Warriors (home) and Rivers Angel (away).

There are eight more games in the NPFL on Sunday.
