NPFL: Kennedy Boboye hails Akwa United players after Niger Tornadoes’ win

By Wale Mustapha

Technical Adviser of Akwa United, Kennedy Boboye, has praised his players for their exceptional performance in the 2-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter on Thursday in Uyo.

The Promise Keepers dominated the encounter, and Boboye was full of praise for his team’s effort and determination.

“I want to congratulate my players for their great performance. They played with strong determination and commitment,” Boboye said after the match.

The coach expressed his desire to maintain the team’s high confidence and performance levels throughout the rest of the season.

“You can see that the confidence level is very high, and we want to keep it that way for the remaining matches. We’re not done with the season yet. This victory has taken us out of the drop zone, but we still have seven matches to play.”

Boboye emphasized the importance of targeting maximum points in each game, both at home and away, as the team fights to stay in the NPFL.

“Our target is to ensure we go for maximum points in every match. We have to fight for every available point in both home and away games, because that is the only way we can achieve our goal,” he added.

The win lifted Boboye’s side out of the relegation zone, taking them to 37 points from 31 games.
