Governor Bassey Otu Approves New Management for Pelican Stars FC
The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Apostle Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, has approved the constitution of a new Management for Pelican Stars Football Club.
The decision, announced by the Cross River State Sports Commission, is aimed at repositioning the club in line with the state government’s broader vision for sports development and professionalism.
According to the statement, the newly constituted Management is to assume office with immediate effect and is expected to carry out its duties diligently and professionally to enhance the performance and growth of Pelican Stars FC.
All stakeholders, including players, technical crew, and supporters of the club, have been urged to give their full cooperation to the new Management to ensure a smooth transition and sustained progress.
The newly appointed Management members are led by Mrs. Sofia Francis Aribiah as Chairman, with Mr. Johnson Eko serving as Vice Chairman. Other members include Mr. Tom Aniah (Team Manager), Edem Umo Ephraim (Sporting Director), Hodo Williams (Welfare Officer), Hon. Patrick Ifere, Mr. Ani Oku Ita, Tom Melody Bassey, and Eyo Eyo Yellowduke as Members, while Vivien Cocoma Inyang will serve as Secretary.
The announcement was signed by the Chairman of the Cross River State Sports Commission, Etta Lawrence Itanya, and issued for public information and compliance.
