NPFL: Magin hails Tornadoes’ players despite draw against Nasarawa United

Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Mohammed Magin, has praised his team’s professionalism and performance following their 0-0 draw with Nasarawa United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Two encounter on Sunday.

The game marked the first time in four years that Tornadoes played in front of their home fans at the Bako Kotangora Stadium. Despite the high expectations and the pressure of returning home, Magin commended his players for their efforts.

“The pressure of returning home after four years might have affected the players,” Magin said. “They’re not accustomed to playing in front of such a large crowd for a home game in a while, and that could be a factor.”

He expressed optimism despite the draw, reflecting on the team’s previous victory against Kwara United. “I’m impressed with the result because the same players who won against Kwara United were on the pitch today,” Magin added.

With this result, Niger Tornadoes have accumulated four points from their first two matches of the season, while Nasarawa United secured their second point.

Looking ahead, Magin’s side will travel within the North Central province to face Plateau United in their next fixture, aiming to build on their solid start to the season.
