NPFL: Nwankwo Kanu rewards Enyimba players ahead of Bayelsa United clash

By Wale Mustapha

Enyimba FC chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, has rewarded his players with a cash incentive ahead of their crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 30 encounter against Bayelsa United on Sunday.

Following the team’s training session in Aba on Friday, Kanu presented a N1 million cash gift to the players, a gesture aimed at motivating them for the upcoming clash.

The former Super Eagles captain, who has been impressed with the team’s recent performances, urged the players to maintain their focus and continue pushing towards their season objectives.

“You guys have shown great character in our recent matches and deserve to be rewarded. This is to motivate you for even more victories,” Kanu said, according to Enyimba media.

“I commend your fighting spirit to earn these positive results so far, and that’s why we must push for more until we reach our destination.”

Currently sitting in eighth place on the NPFL table with 42 points from 29 matches, Enyimba will be hoping to build on their recent form as they aim to climb higher in the league standings.
