By Saheed Afolabi
Shooting Stars general manager, Dimeji Lawal, has reassured fans of an improved performance from the club following their 1-1 draw against Plateau United on Sunday.
This result means 3SC has yet to secure a win in the 2024/2025 NPFL season, having drawn their first two matches in Lafia and Ibadan.
Lawal acknowledged the disappointment of the draw on home soil and expressed his apologies to the fans, and is optimistic about future results, promising a turnaround in the team’s fortunes.
“We are deeply sorry, that is football but I want to assure them that they will see an improved team as the season progresses. We will surely make them happy this season,” Lawal stated.
He also expressed gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support despite the less-than-ideal result.
“As a club, we are grateful to all our fans and supporters for the massive presence at the stadium on Sunday. That was indeed encouraging, I give it to them.”
Looking ahead, the Oluyole Warriors will host Heartland in their next fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
Lawal and the team are eager to turn the page and secure a much-needed victory to kickstart their season.
