NPFL: Tunde Sanni hails Kwara United’s well-deserved victory over Kano Pillars

By Wale Mustapha

Kwara United’s technical adviser, Tunde Sanni, has praised his team’s 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars on Sunday, describing the win as thoroughly deserved.

The Harmony Boys emerged two goals better than their visitors from Kano in the Matchday 29 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter, held at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin.

Wasiu Alalade and Wasiu Jimoh scored in each half to seal a comprehensive win for the home side.

Sanni expressed his satisfaction with the performance, stating that the team’s approach to the game was crucial. He added that anything short of a victory would have been disappointing.

“The way my players approached this game reflects our position on the log,” Sanni said in a post-match interview with media.

“It should not be anything but a win for us, as you noticed we were in control of the game for most parts and we got our tactics right.

“I must say that this victory is well deserved for us,” he concluded.

With the win, Kwara United moved up to 11th place on the league table with 39 points.
