NPFL: Usman Abdallah inches closer to seal Gombe United’s managerial job

Former assistant Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Usman Abdallah is in pole position to land the vacant Head Coach job at Gombe United, Nigeriafootball.ng can report.
Gombe United are currently with no technical head after the departure of Mohammed BabaGanaru a week after the restart of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL second stanza.
The Savannah Scorpions are languishing in the relegation zone of the league haven recorded unimpressive results from the start of the season.
A number of coaches have applied for the vacant position but Abdallah stands a good chance to securing the top job with his antecedents in the NPFL.
The former Enyimba gaffer led Katsina United to secure promotion back to apex league last season and have also handled top jobs in the league including Wikki Tourists and the People’s Elephants.
Gombe United were forced to 1-1 draw by Shooting Stars on Tuesday which has further deepens their worries and the need to appoint a new coach on time.
