NPFL: “We are devastated” – Kabir Dogo reacts to Nasarawa United defeat to Enyimba

By Wale Mustapha

Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United, Kabir Dogo, has expressed his disappointment following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Enyimba in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter on Wednesday.

The Matchday 17 fixture, held in Aba, saw Enyimba secure a hard-fought victory, with goals from Joseph Atule and former Super Eagles forward, Brown Ideye.

Anas Yusuf’s goal for Nasarawa United proved to be a mere consolation as the Peoples’ Elephant claimed all three points.

A visibly disappointed Dogo reflected on his team’s performance, attributing the loss to missed opportunities.

“We are devastated by the loss. We created a series of opportunities to win the game, but unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize on them,” Dogo said in a post-match interview.

The defeat has left Nasarawa United struggling at the bottom of the NPFL standings with 19 points from 19 games, as they continue their fight for survival in the top flight.
