NPFL: “We’ll be as professional as we can” – Dele Aiyenugba aims Elkanemi Warriors scalp

By Wale Mustapha
Kwara United’s goalkeeper trainer, Dele Aiyenugba, has emphasized the importance of professionalism and focus as the team prepares for their Matchday 13 clash against Elkanemi Warriors in Maiduguri on Sunday.
The Harmony Boys are currently on a five-game unbeaten run under their new coach, Ashifat Suleiman, and they will be aiming to extend that impressive streak against the Borno Army.
Kwara United’s recent form has been solid, but Aiyenugba knows that facing Elkanemi Warriors away from home will present a tough challenge. The hosts are eager to end a three-match winless streak, making this encounter crucial for both sides.
“Away games are never easy, but the boys are motivated and ready to give everything needed for success to be ours,” Aiyenugba said ahead of the match.
“We understand the importance of professionalism, both on and off the pitch. Focus will be key because even a momentary lapse can be costly.”
The goalkeeping coach’s remarks reflect the seriousness with which Kwara United are approaching the match.
Despite their good form under Suleiman, they are well aware of the threats posed by Elkanemi Warriors, who will be looking to bounce back after a poor run of results.
Currently, Kwara United are in ninth place on the NPFL table with 16 points, while Elkanemi Warriors sit in 14th position.
A victory for Kwara United would solidify their place in the upper half of the standings, while also continuing their upward trajectory under Suleiman’s leadership.
For Aiyenugba and his team, the focus remains on maintaining their professionalism and composure as they aim to take all three points from what promises to be a competitive fixture.
