Technical Adviser of Nasarawa Amazons, Christopher Danjuma, has emphasized that his primary focus is building a cohesive and resilient team as the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) season progresses into its second round.
Danjuma made these remarks after guiding the Amazons to a dominant 3-0 victory over Dannaz Ladies in their Matchday Nine encounter in Lagos on Wednesday.
Speaking after the match, Danjuma expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance but reiterated that the focus remains on developing a solid unit capable of handling any challenges.
“Football is a developmental process. When we play away matches, we don’t rush to win at all costs. Instead, we focus on absorbing pressure,” Danjuma said.
As the team heads into the second half of the season, the Nasarawa Amazons are adopting a new mentality.
“We respect every team in the Premier League, recognizing that no opponent is ‘cheap.’ We’re confident in our ability to achieve our goals,” the coach added.
Danjuma also noted that while he did not make significant changes to the squad, team building remains a top priority. “We’re focused on developing a cohesive unit that can thrive under pressure, whether positive or negative.”
Nasarawa Amazons will face Abia Angels in their next NWFL fixture.
