NWFL: Emmanuel Osahon recounts tactical adjustments to seal Bayelsa Queens win

By Saheed Afolabi
Head coach of Robo Queens, Emmanuel Osahon is impressed with his side’s 2-1 victory over Bayelsa Queens in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership tie at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Rose Ekong had given Bayelsa Queens a first half lead before two quick fire goals from Robo Queens duo of Opeyemi Ajakaye and Folashade Ijamilusi ended the Prosperity Girls unbeaten run.
While recounting his impactful game changing decision, Osahon feels the Lagos Landladies dominated the game throughout but were unlucky to concede a goal through lack of concentration from the defense.
“We thank God, we played and we won. It’s a game of chance, the goal they scored was a game of chance,” Osahon told Nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.
“They didn’t play us, we were in charge throughout, anybody could see it but unfortunately we lost concentration in the defense line and that cost is a goal.
“I’m trying to get use to the young girls because most of these girls’ national team call-up is always affecting my lineup. So when they come, let them seat on the bench, when I see that the game is getting out of hand, I bring them in.”
The Lagos Landladies are third on the NWFL Premiership group B table with 11 points from six matches and trail table toppers, Edo Queens by just a point.
