Head coach of Edo Queens, Moses Aduku insists that his side cannot afford another slip in the ongoing Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership campaign.

And the former Nigeria U20 assistant coach admits that they will not make further mistakes for avoid missing out of the Super Six places at the

“It is true that Edo Queens has regained the top spot in the group,” Aduku told media.

“We are in the Group of Death, every team in Group B is a team to reckon with, so we cannot afford to make mistakes. We thank God for giving us this victory. It was a tough game.

“Women’s football is growing very fast, we need a level playing ground so that our football can be better than what it is today.”

The win was crucial for Aduku’s side after Bayelsa Queens forced Sunshine Queens to a 1-1 draw in Akure in the season opener. Edo Queens will welcome Ekiti Queens to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, next Wednesday.

“I believe in one game at a time, every team want to win the league,” he continued.

“We have a game against Ekiti Queens next week in Benin City, we are going back to prepare for that game. My girls really played their hearts out. I am happy and I want to congratulate everyone that has made this victory possible.”
