NWFL Premiership: Hakeem Busari named Technical Adviser of Pacesetter Queens

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Former Bayelsa Queens coach, Akeem Ishola Busari, has been appointed as the new Technical Adviser of the Oyo State female football team, Pacesetter Queens.

Busari, a seasoned tactician with vast experience in women’s football, will lead the team’s technical crew as they prepare for upcoming competitions.

He will be assisted by Wole Animashaun, Damilola Badmus, Lukman Lateef, Folusho Ajayi, Raji Yekini, and other members of the backroom staff.

The appointment is seen as part of Oyo State’s renewed commitment to revitalize women’s football and strengthen the Pacesetter Queens’ presence in the Nigerian women’s football scene.

Busari, who previously guided Bayelsa Queens to notable successes, is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear as he takes charge of the team’s rebuilding project.

Debutant, Pacesetter Queens will start their campaign in the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership against Adamawa Queens at the Makwada Stadium.

They will also face their coach’s former team, Bayelsa Queens in Group A.

Edo Queens, Heartland Queens, Ekiti Queens, Naija Ratels, Ibom Angels, Castmog Ladies, and Rivers Angels are the other teams in the group.
