NWFL Premiership MD5 Reviews: Adamawa end Nasarawa run as Remo & Ekiti see first wins

The 2023/2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership Matchday five got underway in either centres with five home wins, three draws, and 15 goals.
Adamawa Queens ended Nasarawa Amazons’ unbeaten start to the campaign with a 2-1 win at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe State.
Two goals from Oluwaseun Anani and Injimaco Mngunegen ensured that Bisola Mosaku’s opener was mere consolation for Christopher Danjuma’s side which has recorded two wins and two draws ahead of the game.
Confluence Queens remains the only unbeaten team in the league after a 2-0 win against Abia Angels.
First-half goals from Feranki Feheeza and Mary Mamudu sealed Sabo Okala’s side’s third win of the campaign.

In Asaba, FC Robo Queens forced holders, Delta Queens to a 1-1 draw at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
Chinaza Agoh broke the deadlock for the Pearls in the 37th minute with a header.
Goalkeeper, Mgbechi Anderline made a series of saves to keep the scoreline at 1-0 before a late goal broke the heart of the home side.
A cross from Esther Onyenezide was converted by Folashade Ijamilusi who equalised for the Lagos Landladies.
In Yenegoa, Bayelsa Queens forced Rivers Angels to a 1-1 draw.
Motunrayo Ezekiel opened the scoring for the visitors before Rose Ekong evened the scoreline in the 55th minute.
In Lagos, Dannaz Ladies had to rely on two late goals from Fatimoh Solaty and Mary Aduramomi to seal their second win of the season.
The game ended in a 2-1 triumph after Katherine Gabriel had broken the deadlock for the Canadian Geese.
In Abuja, Naija Ratels FC and Heartland Queens played out a 1-1 draw.
