NWFL Premiership MD6 Previews: Delta battle Rivers, Ratels host holders Bayelsa

The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership continues with action across six match venues as we enter matchday six on Wednesday.
Heartland Queens will further her desperate search for a first win when they face Royal Queens at the Sapele Township Stadium.
The Owerri-based team were held to a goalless draw by Rivers Angels on matchday five while the hosts Royal Queens had enough time to rest as they were drawn-bye.
In Abuja, Naija Ratels will look to bounce back when they welcome the defending champions Bayelsa Queens to the Old Parade ground sports complex football pitch, Area 10.
Ratels suffered a 2-0 defeat against Delta Queens while Bayelsa Queens recorded their biggest win of the season so far with a 4-0 thrashing of Osun Babes.
While in Port Harcourt, the Jewels of Rivers will be in search of their first in 2023 when they welcome an in-form Delta Queens at the Adokiye Amesiamaka Stadium.
Delta Queens tops Group A with four wins in four games for the season while Heartland Queens held the former champions to a barren draw.
Elsewhere, Confluence Queens will hope to bank on the momentum after winning away from home on matchday five with a 3-2 victory over Nasarawa Amazons. The Lokoja-based team will slug it out at home with FC Robo Queens in a box-office encounter.
