Sunshine Queens FC of Akure, freshly promoted to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership, have confirmed the appointment of Roseline Obamuyi as the club’s new Team Manager.
Her appointment was confirmed in a press release by Ondo State Football Agency Media Manager, Michael Akintunde.
Obamuyi is a familiar and respected figure within the Sunshine Queens family, having served in several capacities over the years, including Curator, Welfare Officer, Coordinator, and Secretary.
Known for her calm, devoted, and result-oriented approach, she distinguished herself with diligence and commitment in each role.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal time as Sunshine Queens seek to re-establish themselves among Nigeria’s elite after regaining their Premiership status.
The Akure-based side remain proud holders of the 2015 Federation Cup, the only major football trophy won for Ondo State since its creation.
A native of Ugbo Kingdom in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Obamuyi is expected to use her wealth of administrative experience to stabilize the team and strengthen unity within the squad.
She takes over from Kehinde Odogun, who has been redeployed as the State Coordinator of Rising Stars Football Academy.
