NWFL: ‘There are no easy teams’ – Abia Angels’ Ndudim Amarachi expects tough duels

Abia Angels forward, Ndudim Amarachi is expecting keenly contest games from the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership Group A.

The Aba-based side were pitched alongside Dannaz Ladies, Naija Ratels, Adamawa Queens, Confluence Queens, Royal Queens, Heartland Queens, and Nasarawa Amazons was touted as a soft group.

Group A has the league winners from the last three seasons in Delta Queens, Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels and Ndudim believes the group isn’t as easy as envisaged by bookmakers.

“There are no easy teams. People feel our group is an easy one but there is lots of competition in the group,” Ndudim told Nigeriafootball.ng

“The gap difference is not that much between the top teams and others. If we put in a lot of work, I think we can make it to the Super Six this season.”

The youngster scored the winning goal during the season-opening 3-2 win over Adamawa Queens.

Ndudim is confident of the team’s quest to qualify for the season-ending Super Six, with two wins, a draw, and a loss after four games.

“The target is qualifying for the Super Six and getting more opportunities to be known in the league,” she continued.

“I felt very happy and pleased to have scored the winning goal for my team because the goal was very needed that day.

“Coach Ann Agumanu-Chiejine Isa good coach with national team experience. I don’t want to compare the new coach with our former coach. The new coach is also good as he has been pushing us. With our result, we are really putting in the efforts.”
