Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke has completed a three-year deal to join Spanish LaLiga giants Sevilla as a free agent, according to Nigeriafootball.ng.

The Super Eagles forward became a free agent after his contract with Russian side CSKA Moscow ended.

The Andalusian club announced Ejuke’s arrival on Monday, making him their first signing of the summer. “Our first summer signing has arrived, in the form of Nigerian international Ejuke,” the club stated on its website.

“Born in Zaria, Ejuke is right-footed and most recently has been deployed on the left wing but has played in all attacking positions throughout his career in Europe, which began in 2017 with Valerenga.

“Arriving in Norway as a 19-year-old, he made 59 appearances across two seasons, scoring 15 goals and registering six assists, before moving to the Netherlands to sign for Heerenveen.

“In his only season at the club, he racked up 10 goals and another six assists, before catching the attention of CSKA Moscow,” Sevilla’s statement read in part.

Ejuke spent last season on loan at Belgian side Royal Antwerp, where he helped the club finish second, contributing five goals and six assists.

The former Gombe United player will hope to continue his rise to higher status in his football career.
