Olympics Qualifier: Five Cameroon players the Super Falcons should be wary of

Nigeria and Cameroon are set for another blockbuster tie in Douala as they fight to seal a place at the 2024 Olympics in Paris later in July.
Despite the absence of two key players, the Indomitable Lioness still pose a threat against visitors, Falcons in Douala.
Nigeriafootball.ng have highlighted five key Cameroonian players capable of causing havoc to the Falcons on home soil.

Jeannette Grace Ngock Yango

Grace is an astonishing midfielder who plys her trade in the French women’s league with EA Guingamp.
The 30-year-old midfielder boast of a box to box trait, work ethic and intelligent passing to unlock opposing defense.
Grace’s creativity and vision for long passes is her top asset which should be curtailed by the Super Falcons.

Gabrielle Onguene

Gabrielle isn’t slowing down any bit despite her age, the Cameroon striker has been a giant force in the striking role for the Lioness.
The 34 year old major strength is her blistering speed and great finishing.
She’s more direct to goals and poses a long range shooting ability and fantastic footwork.
Gabrielle netted 15 goals in 27 matches for CSKA Moscow in the Russian women’s league.
She’s expected to shoulder more responsibility following the absence of key forward, Ajara Njoya.

Ndanza Collette

Ndanza who plys her trade in France with Stade de Reims has established herself as a top defender.
She has a great game reading skills and she’s very intelligent not to throwaway tackles unnecessary.
The 23-year-old possesses strength and aerial prowess to take out strikers with ease which is vital in thwarting opposing attack.

Charlène Meyong

Charlene is a top dynamic midfielder that has the tendency to unlock opposing defense with her technical runs.
The Stade de Reims midfielder started appearing for Cameroon since the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and have gone on to be an influential part of the team.
The 25-year-old has scored one goals and one assist in 14 games for Stade de Reims this season.

Lamine Mana

Young prodigy forward, Lamine Mana has energetic movements and very dangerous in front of goal.
The youngster broke out from the Indomitable Lioness U20 team in 2022 and have been a prominent figure in Cameroonian football.
Plying her trade in France for Lemans, she is a pacy forward that can upset her opponents with her dynamism and footwork.
