2024 Olympics Qualifier: Nigeria vs Cameroon Preview – Falcons eye Lionesses scalp

It will be the tenth meeting between Cameroon and Nigeria when they set out for the first leg of the Olympics qualifier in Douala.
The Indomitable Lionesses will be basking on the euphoria of home support and will be relishing the fact that, the Super Falcons halted their participation at the last Women Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Both teams boast of an array of talented players capable of causing havoc.
The last 14 years have experienced nine keenly competed meetings between the two top sides with Nigeria garnering five victories over three wins from Cameroon and a draw.
Nigeria coming off an impressive WAFCON qualifying series are in a great shape to confront their West Africa neighbors.
The Indomitable Lionesses were faced with an herculean task against Uganda in their last game and had to struggle to win 3-0 in extra time.
Nigeria recorded three wins out of four games after their run at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, while Cameroon struggled to get a win in their last four games against Uganda.
The Super Falcons had the last laugh in their previous meeting in 2022 with a fantastic strike from Rasheedat Ajibade settling the scores.
