Oshoala nets fifth goal as Barcelona decimate AS Roma to cruise into semifinal

Nigeria forward, Asisat Oshoala scored her fifth goal of the 2022/2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League as FC Barcelona thrashed AS Roma 5-1 to qualify for the semi-final on Wednesday.
The Catalan side had defeated the Italian opponent 1-0 in the first leg and opened the scoring in the 11th minute.
A cross located Oshoala inside the box before her touch reached Fridolina Rolfo who opened the scoring for the Spanish Champions.
Mapi Leon’s strike from outside the box doubled the lead for Jonatan Giraldez’s side in the 33rd minute before Rolfo tapped in her second goal of the night to make it 3-0.
A minute into the second half, Oshoala tapped in Aitana Bonmati’s cross to increase Barcelona’s lead to four.
Patricia Guijarro scored the fifth goal for the host with a superb header before Annamaria Serturini reduced the deficit for AS Roma.
Oshoala saw 66 minutes of action before she was replaced by Brazilian forward, Geyse after scoring her fifth goal in the Champions League this season and receiving a yellow card in the 63rd minute.
Barcelona will face the winner of the clash between holders, Lyon and Chelsea in the semi-final.
