Patrick Pascal: Former Nigeria star berates poor tactical strength of African teams

Africa may have had two representatives in the knockout stages of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, but former Nigeria midfielder, Patrick Pascal isn’t still impressed.
The duo of Senegal and Morocco are the remaining African flag bearers in the World Cup with Tunisia, Cameroon and Ghana failed to make it past the group stages, and are expected to go all the way following their historic rise.
Althrough African recorded the most wins [seven] in an edition of the competition in history but the football administrator, who admits progression insists African teams haven’t shown much tactical qualities enough.
“Its a thing to celebrate that we have two teams in the next round of the World Cup, both Senegal and Morocco have done well and deserve to be there,” Pascal opened up to the media.
“But I think we haven’t done well enough tactically as you can see how it played out in all the games involving African countries, we need to work on that areas if we want to win crucial games and go far to break the semi final jinx because that will even make other countries from other region to respect us,” he said.
Senegal will be taking on England while Morocco have a date with Spain for a place in the quarter finals.
