Former Nigeria’s senior women’s national team goalkeeper, Precious Dede is set to resume as goalkeeping coach of national U-17 women’s national team, Nigeriafootball.ng can confirm.

The two-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) champions will resume as goalkeeping coach when Flamingos camp opens in Ikenne on Sunday.

Dede previously worked as a goalkeeping coach to the Indian U-17 women’s national team under former Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby.

During her playing days, Dede participated in four FIFA Women’s World Cups in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015.

She won two WAFCON titles in 2010 and 2014 despite featuring at four WAFCONs in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014.

The former Ibom Angels goalie retired from international football in 2016 with 99 caps for the Super Falcons.

Meanwhile, coach Adanna Nwaneri will no longer work with the U-17 Women’s national team.

The former Super Falcons defender is now in charge of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Abia Angels.

Coach Nojmu Morufu Adeyemo will work as Flamingo’s First Assistant coach, and coach Abubakar Ndanusi will work as second Assistant coach to head coach Bankole Olowookere.
