‘Proud moment’ – Victor Boniface celebrates assist on Nigeria cameo debut

New Nigeria invitee Victor Boniface made his cameo debut as the country’s side thrashed the Parrots of Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 in their final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Boniface came off the bench in place of Taiwo Awoniyi in the 64th minute to make his international debut for Nigeria.

It was a well spent 26 minutes for the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Year playing up front with his namesake from Napoli forward Osimhen. The 22-year-old provided an assist with six minutes left to put Samuel Chukwueze on the score sheet for the sixth of the game.

And the Leverkusen star took to his official social media platforms to celebrate his Super Eagles debut, posting photos from the game along with a message that said, “Proud moment.”
