Nigeria forward, Rafiu Durosinmi proved to be the hero of the match as he scored two goals with an assist to help Viktoria Plzen to a 6-2 victory against FK Pardubice in Czech Republic Fortuna Liga contest on Sunday.

Viktoria Plzen made a false start to the encounter and had to come from behind to earn a big win thanks to the Nigerian’s double.

Denis Darmovzal (FK Pardubice) had the simplest of tasks to roll the ball into an empty net from close range after a rebound left the keeper stranded in the 13th minute.

Lukas Kalvach got a shot away from the edge of the box and scored into the bottom right corner for the equaliser in the 23rd minute, with Durosinmi providing the assist.

In the 27th minute, Sampson Dweh found space for a shot from the edge of the box and his attempt goes low inside the right post to hand the hosts the lead for the first time in the match.

With a perfectly taken free kick, Kalvach sends a cross in and Robin Hranac leaped high to connect with it on the edge of the six-yard box and his close-range header went low inside the right post made it 3-1.

From the penalty spot, Erik Jirka fired the ball into the bottom left corner, beating outstretched arm of Viktor Budinsky to increase the lead.

In the 82nd minute, Kalvach passed to Durosinmi, who got one-on-one with the keeper before superbly lifting the ball over him into the net for his first goal of the match.

Three minutes later,  Tomas Chory produced a brilliant lofted pass and Durosinmi got on the end of it to finish with a header into an empty net to make the score 6-1.

The two goals saw Durosinmi increased his tally to five with four assists in eight league games.

He played a full 90 minutes for his team which moved to the third position on the table with 19 points after eight games, three points behind the top two teams -, Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague.
