Czech First League side Vicktoria Plzen have secured the services of Nigeria star Rafiu Durosinmi from second division side Karvina on a six-month deal, with an option of a 12-month extension.
Following his unveiling on Monday afternoon, the Nigerian becomes the club’s third signing of the winter transfer.
With his arrival, the Plzen based outfit will gain a boost their ranks and offers more options in the team’s attack.
Plzen sporting director, Daniel Kolar said the impressive form of Durosinmi convinced the club to sign the Nigerian forward.
”He is a talented player who has excellent speed, height and age parameters to make the next step in his career, and I believe that he can take this step right here,” Kolar told the club website.
“We promise him that he will increase the competition in our team and fight for his chance.”
On his part, excited Durosinmi said: “I am happy that I got such a chance. I watched Victoria’s matches in the Champions League, they are a really big team and I have to do my best to be able to make it.”
The 20-year-old will don the jersey number 17 for his new club and also teams up with fellow Nigeria compatriot Fortune Bassey, who also earlier joined from Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
