‘Remain calm’ – Emmanuel Dennis urges Watford teammates amidst poor run
By Saheed Afolabi
Watford forward, Emmanuel Dennis has urged his teammates to remain calm amidst the club struggles this season.
The Hornets have have lost five matches in their last six games and the Nigeria forward feels his side players aren’t satisfied with the poor run results, while charging his teammates to stay united and get their winning acts together.
“Everyone is disappointed with the result. No-one is happy, we just have to look to the next one and make things right,” Dennis was quoted by Watford.
“When you concede in the first five minutes it’s hard to get back into the game. We tried, we fought to the end, but we didn’t score or get the three points which was the most important thing for us. We need to get ourselves together. It’s not been easy this period, we’ve lost a lot of games, but we have to stick together and try to come back to winning ways.
“We need to be more calm. We’re losing the game and we want to win, so we do everything in a rush which is one of the problems. It doesn’t matter if we are losing, we just have to play as the coach instructed us to play. We just have to keep calm and wait for the right moment, create the chances and score.
“Today was a bit rushed so I think we have to work on that and try to do better, get the three points and make the fans happy. We’re confident [we can turn things around].”
Watford have raked in 44 points from 35 matches to stay on the 12th position on the English Championship table and will face Swansea City in their next fixture.
