Anthony Ujah has commended Taiwo Awoniyi work rate and discipline in reaching the status he found himself today.
The Super Eagles star has continued to excel in the colours of the English outfit on his return from injury, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 16 appearances amidst his injury ravaged 2023/2024 season campaign.
Following his expliots, Ujah believes Awoniyi really invested a lot of hard work to be at his present form, adding that the Nigerian is living up to expectations in the English Premier League and wished him the best ahead.
“This guy invested in a lot of work that I personally didn’t do, so it was quite amazing to see someone chasing their dream,” Ujah was quoted by EaglesTracker.
“Football fans see what happens during the game day but don’t see what happens during the week. You know a lot of people have to push themselves extra to be able to reach where they are.
“That he is playing in the Premier League and doing really well is not a surprise for me, he did way more than what he was expected to do and that is why you see he is really doing well and my wish for him is just to, you know, stay healthy. As long as he stays healthy, he will always excel.”
Awoniyi has been an instant hit since his move to Nottingham Forest from Germany.
He has ranked in as one of the top goal poachers in England with his great finishing skills.
