By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Remo Stars U19 and Ikorodu City U19 have booked their places in the prestigious Super Six finals of the 2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Youth League from the South West Zone, with a game to spare.

Both teams secured qualification after recording emphatic wins to take their points tally to 10 each at the Ikenne centre, which features six teams: Remo Stars, Ikorodu City, Sunshine Stars, Shooting Stars, Bendel Insurance, and Kwara United.

With their spots confirmed, the two sides will face off in the final group game on Sunday to determine the Ikenne centre winners.

Meanwhile, action continues in other zones on Sunday:

Kano Centre comprises Kano Pillars, Elkanemi Warriors, Katsina United, Nasarawa United, Niger Tornadoes, and Plateau United.

Umuahia Centre houses Abia Warriors, Akwa United, Enyimba, Rangers, Heartland, Bayelsa United, Rivers United, and Lobi Stars.

The top two teams from each of the three centres will qualify for the Super Six finals, with the venue to be announced by the league organisers.

The NPFL Youth League serves as a platform to discover and develop young football talents across Nigeria, providing them with the exposure and competitive experience needed to progress to professional levels.
