Rio Ferdinand sends Dejan Kulusevski message to Tottenham

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has been full of praise for Tottenham winger, Dejan Kulusevski.

Dejan Kulusevski joined Tottenham on loan from Juventus in the January transfer window.

The Swede has since hit the ground running in England. In just his second start for the club, he provided one goal and one assist as Spurs earned a huge 3-2 win over Premier League champions Manchester City.

And the 21-year-old has scored a further two goals and provided six more assists in his subsequent league outings for the Lilywhites, with his latest goal contribution setting up Heung-min Son during Spurs’ 3-0 win over Leicester City this past weekend.

Rio Ferdinand on Kulusevski

Now, after Spurs’ latest win, Rio Ferdinand has labelled Kulusevski as phenomenal, adding that, if Tottenham do not sign him on a permanent basis, they are crazy:

“Kulusevski has been phenomenal at Spurs,” Ferdinand said. “I think he plays like a man beyond his years, cultured and calm. If they don’t sign him [permanently] they’re crazy.”

However, it does look as though Kulusevski will be sticking around, with it reported last month that Tottenham are indeed looking to make the move permanent:

It would cost the Lilywhites £24.9m to do so this summer.
