The Chairman of Royal Queens FC, Dr. Omatsola Sifo, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Warri Wolves FC following their successful promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The Seasiders earned their spot in the top flight after an impressive showing in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 tournament in Asaba.
Warri Wolves sealed their promotion with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Crown FC in their final group match on Wednesday. The crucial win capped off a strong group stage performance, during which they bounced back from a 1-0 opening-day defeat to Osun United with a dominant 3-0 victory over Kun Kalifa FC, followed by the decisive win over Crown FC.
In his congratulatory message, Dr. Sifo praised the team’s grit, unity, and resilience.
“This is a proud moment for Warri football fans and Delta State at large,” Dr. Sifo stated. “Warri Wolves have shown character, unity, and determination to rise back to where they belong — the NPFL. On behalf of everyone at Royal Queens FC, I extend my sincere congratulations to the entire Warri Wolves family for this well-deserved success.”
Dr. Sifo, a respected football administrator and strong advocate for grassroots development in Delta State, highlighted the broader significance of Warri Wolves’ achievement.
“Their promotion is not just a win for the club — it’s a victory for Delta football. It sends a powerful message of hope and inspiration to other clubs and young players who dream of reaching the top,” he added.
The promotion marks a return to the NPFL for Warri Wolves — a club with a rich history and passionate following — after a period of rebuilding in the lower division.
With Delta State now boasting renewed representation in Nigeria’s elite football league, fans and stakeholders alike will look forward to Warri Wolves making a strong impact in the upcoming NPFL season.
