Rumour Mills: Nigerian striker Jerome Adams Akor set for Sevilla medicals

By Wale Mustapha

Fast-rising Nigerian striker Jerome Adams Akor is set to arrive in Spain this Saturday for his medicals ahead of a move to LaLiga side Sevilla.

Akor, who has been in sensational form this season with French Ligue 1 side Montpellier, is reportedly joining the Andalusian club in a deal worth £5 million, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old forward, who joined Montpellier from Norwegian side Lillestrøm in 2023, has made an impressive impact in his debut season.

With three goals and one assist in 15 league appearances, Akor has been a standout performer for La Paillade.

His move to Sevilla will add to the growing Nigerian presence at the club, joining Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho, making it three Nigerian players at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
