Rwanda’s new coach “spits fire” ahead of Super Eagles clash

By Dayo Awoniyi
Newly appointed coach of Rwanda’s national football team, Adel Amrouche, has fired up his squad with passionate words and a bold vision ahead of their critical 2026 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles on March 21.
Amrouche, who took charge of the Amavubi (Rwanda’s national team) with World Cup aspirations, has instilled a newfound confidence and determination in the team, which currently leads Group C with seven points.
“We should believe we can do something special,” Amrouche declared with fiery conviction.
“I will give my best, but I alone do not have the magic wand. Together, we will make Rwanda the best in Africa.”
The Algerian tactician’s fiery rhetoric has set the stage for an intense and highly anticipated clash in Kigali.
With Rwanda looking to maintain their position at the top of the group, Nigeria will be equally determined to rise through the ranks.
Under Amrouche’s leadership, the Amavubi are expected to bring a fierce challenge to the Super Eagles.
