Nigeria forward, Samuel Chukwueze was on target as AC Milan suffered a 2-1 loss to Lazio in the Italian Serie A match at the San Siro on Sunday.
A quick break in the 28th minute found Adam Mansic, and while Milan’s goalkeeper got a hand to the attempt, he could only push it into Mattia Zaccagni’s path for a simple finish for Lazio’s opener.
After the introduction of numerous attacking players by AC Milan, one of the substitutes, Chukwueze, rose high to nod Rafael Leao’s cross off the bar for the lever in the 84th minute.
In the additional minutes of the second half when Maignan feller Isaksen in the area, referee Gianluca Manginello had little choice but to award a spot kick following a trip to the pitch side monitor.
From 12 yards, Pedro made no mistake by scoring the winner for Lazio.
AC Milan were reduced to 10 players in the 67th minute after going behind.
Chukwueze, who replaced Christian Pulisic in the 70th minute, scored his third goal in 21 league games.
His compatriot, Fisayo Dele Bashiru, was not dressed by Lazio due to an injury layoff.
AC Milan occupies the ninth position with 41 points after 27 games, while Lazio sits in the fourth place with 50 points.
Up next for AC Milan is a league clash with Lecce on March 8, while Lazio visits Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League Playoffs first leg on March 6.
